Burnt wood presentation board made in our workshop in Brussels.
The traditional Japanese technique of burning wood (shou-sugi-ban) consists of obtaining a black layer of carbon on the surface of the wood by burning. It takes about ten minutes per board to burn it. Then, the carbon residue must be scraped off with a brush, watered with water, allowed to dry well and finally coated generously with linseed oil to perfect the finish.
A unique object that will beautifully decorate your kitchen.

Interview:
With proper use and maintenance, the boards will serve you for many years:
- Wooden boards are easy to clean, but remember to hand wash them after each use. Wipe them thoroughly and let them dry completely before putting them back in the cabinet.
- It is absolutely forbidden to wash wooden items in the dishwasher and leave them in water, as this weakens and damages the wood.
If you have any questions regarding wood maintenance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
